After several years of working as a freelance illustrator in Manhattan, my graphic design career started when I took a job at Metropolitan Home Magazine. Working in an environment of sophistication and perfectionism, I fell in love with layout and design.
Since then, I’ve worked at a variety of publications, including lengthy stints at Success Magazine and The Wall Street Journal. While at the Journal, I was a part of the team that launched the Weekend Journal in 1998. I also helped launch the Personal Journal section in 2002, and remained as its lead art director until 2009.
After a brief hiatus, I’m happy to have returned to graphic design in addition to lending my eye to the shaping of horses’ hooves (www.fostersfarrierservice.com).
